Fall in Mendocino County turns magical when the rains come and delectable varieties of edible mushrooms appear. Mendocino County is home to more tha 3,000 mushroom varieties, including the rare candy cap mushroom.

Mendocino County’s annual Wine & Mushroom Festival has evolved into Wine & Mushroom Season for 2009, beginning with a flurry of events the first weekend of November and stretching through autumns end.

Discover our gourmet restaurant, friendly wineries, majestic redwoods and rugged seaside, with picturesque villages. Hop on the wine train and meet celebrity chef Jack Czarnecki, enjoy a mushroom dinner with wine and beer pairings, take a cooking class, join a foraging adventure, attend a performance or take an art walk.
