Cellist Peter Wyrick and Pianist Roy Bogas
The new season of the Fort Bragg Center for the Arts opens its new season with San Francisco cellist Peter Wyrick and pianist Roy Bogas, on Sunday, October 27, at 3:00 pm at Preston Hall, Mendocino.
Peter Wyrick is an Associate Principal Cellist with the San Francisco Symphony. He studied at the Leonard Rose at Julliard and has played as a Principal Cellist of the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra at the Lincoln Center and has also performed as soloist with the San Francisco Symphony and also as chamber musician and soloist with chamber ensembles and orchestras throughout the world.
Roy Bogas at the age of 14 made his debut with the San Francisco Symphony and by the time he turned 19 he became the accompanist to Yehudi Menuhin, playing over a hundred concerts with him. In 1962 he was a prize winner in the second Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. He has performed as soloist with virtually every orchestra in Northern California and with many other orchestras in this country and abroad.
This duo will be performing works by Brahams, Prokofiev and others.
