This year Paul and Babe Showcase our Community Spirit
Held on August 30 through September 2, 2013 (Labor Day Weekend)
Over the years the Paul Bunyan Days have been described as “old time small town fun” to “lumber-jack rowdy”, but always a good time, with a tradition that started when the Fort Bragg Chamber of Commerce decided to have the “Return of Paul Bunyan” in 1939.
Our first Paul Bunyan was Charlie Buck, a 6′ 6″ logger, born at Little River in 1904. Charlie was always big reaching 6′ 4″ by the time he was 15, and at one time weighed almost 300 pounds. In 1976 at age 72 he become the Grand Marshall in the Paul Bunyan Days Parade.
Paul Bunyan hosts the festival live and in person. When you see Paul Bunyan, say hi and ask him to pose for a picture. You will see him at all the events:

Paul Bunyan Days is family friendly, packed with free (or almost free) activities so everyone can come. The Paul Bunyan Days Association organizes it, community sponsors pay for it, and the volunteers make it happen.
