11th Annual Yorkville Highland Wine Festival, August 20, 2013
The Yorkville Highlands Growers and Vintners Association will again host the Yorkville Highlands Wine Festival. The venue this year will be held at the beautiful Meyer Family Cellars, located at 19750 Highway 128 at mile marker 34 between Yorkville and Boonville.
With the festivities starting at 1:00 pm come share in the fun from one of California’s most remarkable appellations. The Yorkville Highlands appellation consists of approximately 40,000 acres straddling Highway 128 between the Alexander Valley to the southeast and the Anderson Valley to the northwest. This appellation was first approved in 1998 and has since increased its acreage almost six fold, with its largest plantings in Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Pinot Noir and Merlot.
Highlights of the Yorkville Highlands Wine Festival will include tasting award winning Yorkville wines made and grown within the region. Enjoy mouth watering regional cuisine, music and a silent auction.
There will also have a grape stomp and other fun and wacky games. Tickets for this event of food, fun and award winning wines are just $45. There are discounts for designated drivers and of course the kids are FREE.
