After purchasing the AAA coupon and dealing with some glitches around that, we were a bit apprehensive of our planned weekend at Stevenswood given the feedback other coupon holders provided. But I have to say that we really enjoyed our time there. Its a great location, 2 miles from Mendocino with great walking trails along the bluffs. The staff worked hard to please, the room was very comfortable, and the breakfast was a reasonable portion with a choice of four items. The wine picnic lunch was sparse and we had to ask for the wine to be included. My hair did turn blue at the ends from spending 20 minutes in OVER chlorinated hot tub (I showered immediately afterwards), but that is really my only complaint. Pin your hair up, girls! All in all, it was a nice lodge that operated with a sharp eye on keeping their margins.
