41st Mendocino Art Auction & Raffle

E. John Robinson Renowned Seascape Artist

The Mendocino Rotary Club and The Mendocino Art Center presents the 41st Annual E. John Robinson Art Auction. The Mendocino Art Auction was founded by late Rotarian and internationally renowned seascape artist E. John Robinson. This is the Mendocino Rotary Club’s principal fundraising event, with proceeds from the live event non-art auction and raffle items to benefit the north coast through scholarships, grants to local non-profits and Rotary International humanatarian projects, such as the End Polio campaign. The sale of art items will benefit the Mendocino Art Center. Currently they are offering more than 40 pieces of art & non-art at the auction.

H. Wheatley Allen

This years featured artist is H. Wheatley Allen. He has achieved international acclaim with his bronze sculptures of birds. His work has been chosen for its strength, grace and symbolic content, and has found its way into public, private, and corporate collections around the world. Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and Bill Clinton presented Allen’s sculptures as gifts to heads of state, including Mikhail Gorbachev and King Hussein.

 Auction items will be at the Mendocino Art Center on August 31 through September 28. There will be a welcome reception on September 29 at 2:00 pm.

Bidding is now open! Can’t make the live event, but still want to win? If you’ve bid on items in the online auction and set a maximum bid, proxy bids on those items will be placed on your behalf in the live auction, no more than one bid increment at a time, up to the maximum bid amount you’ve entered for each item.

Knowing you’re helping continue their success story of nurturing visual and performing artists.
