Just finished a very pleasurable 3 night stay at Stevenswood! We enjoyed the complimentary wine tasting and olive oil tasting at their onsite bar (the Coastal View Chardonnay was so tasty, as was their signature label Rosemary Olive Oil!), a trip to the jacuzzi (there are two on premises, one of which is PRIVATE and can be reserved!), a magnificent facial by Connie in the Indigo Spa, and a spectacular dinner prepared by Chef Robert…succulent roasted lamb chops, fingerling potatoes and roasted asparagus! But first we indulged in the filo wrapped Bree and roasted Duck appetizers, a bowl of potato carrot bisque, and topped off the meal with the most delicious Chocolate Mousse I’ve ever eaten!
And, of course, there was WINE!
We stayed in the Kent room at the back of the resort which sported a magnificent view of the ocean and garden through a large picture window. In fact, through all of the windows of the Kent room we enjoy views of the surrounding natural beauty, as well as the antics of the local animal residents.
The proprietors, Seth and Michael, couldn’t have made me feel more welcome! In fact, every person on staff that I interacted with was helpful, charming and full of the “specialness” that is Stevenswood.
The resort is just a short drive from downtown Mendocino and Fort Bragg, where the unique sea-side ambiance permeates every establishment, and all it takes is a short walk across the street from Stevenswood to enjoy the stunning beauty of the coastline.
I did not buy a Groupon or Bloomspot discount.
