Located in the beautiful Anderson Valley on Highway 128 west in Mendocino County. Anderson Valley is only 15 miles long with rolling hills on both sides and only 40 minutes from the coast. Anderson Valley is home to a unique group of wineries and vineyards that produce a broad range of excellent award winning wines. Known for their world class Pinot Noir and Alsace varietals, they offer a great wine tasting destination.
When exploring the Anderson Valley, you will discover a small but a very diverse area, with many fun activities for families, couples or individuals. Also known for a couple of local apple farms and other produce, plan on stopping at the famous Gowan’s Oak Tree of maybe the Philo Apple Farm, both with great produce for sale.
There is excellent swimming in the warm and inviting Navarro River or hike among the towering and virgin redwood groves at Hendy Woods State Park or stay in one of the valley’s other beautiful parks.
The 15th Annual Anderson Valley Pinot Noir Festival will held this year on May 18-20. Starting on Friday May 18 from 8:00 – 4:00 pm., with the Technical Conference where you will enjoy a full day of educational seminars about winegrowing and winemaking at the Mendocino County Fairgrounds Apple Hall. Lunch will be included with this event. Interact with grape growers and winemakers, and also with members of the media.

Grand Tasting: Saturday, May 19 from 11:00 – 3:00 pm.
Come taste world class Pinot Noirs from 40 producers from all around California, and savor perfectly paired foods to compliment the Pinot wines. Enjoy live music and a delicious array of mole’, hand crafted emapanadas, salads, small bites, handmade tortillas, delectable fresh salsas and more. There will also be an auction, to benefit the Anderson Valley Health Center.
