I just spent a couple of days here and have no idea what all the one star reviews are talking about.  I can’t speak for others, but I had a nice time here.  The staff was great. The room was nice.  I did not endure the “hidden charges” of which others speak.  The grounds are nice and close to the beach and other such fun things.  The restaurant was AMAZING and a great value (try the risotto and beef).  The included breakfast was high quality.  That’s my experience.

Honestly, I’m not sure it’s a 5 star place but I feel obliged to do my part to bring this place to its proper average.  The Groupon deal is a steal.

Maybe there is some evil Stevenswood Spa Resort that is getting confused with place I stayed?  Anyway, don’t let the bad reviews scare you away.
