Music on the edge of the world. Come to the beautiful Village of Mendocino for the 24th Annual Mendocino Music Festival from July 10 through July 24. Every year mid-July they build a concert hall Performance Tent, all 16, 000 Square feet of it that can house a full symphony, from the ground up at the Mendocino Headlands State Park. This symphony sized tent, will seat more than 800 music lovers, and is adjacent to the Ford House Museum and across Main Street from the Kelley House Museum.
Evenings include breathtaking concerts featuring the outstanding Festival Orchestra, the popular Big Band concert featuring guest singers, chamber music ensembles, dance, blues, jazz, world, folk, and popular contemporary music. Some days include lecture/recitals at the Piano Series, a children’s matinee and petting zoo, performances from the young musicians, outstanding emerging artists, and chamber concerts at intimate venues throughout the Mendocino Village.
